Did you know that Leek Nub News has its very own local What's On page?

On our What's On page people can submit their upcoming local events, no matter how big or small, and spread the word for free on our site to our thousands of Leek readers.

Make sure to check out our What's On page regularly to find out about the latest upcoming local events, as we update the page several times a week with all the newest things happening in the town.

We are now also going to be giving you the highlights of our What's On page in our news section with our weekly 'Event of the Week' articles - and this week we have picked out three of the most exciting events coming up in Leek very soon.

Find out about them below...

Party in the Park

One of the main events of the weekend will definitely be the party in the park.

The event is being held on Sunday June 5th from 12pm - 5.30pm.

There will be a funfair, live music, a giant water slide and much more for people to enjoy in Brough Park!

The bandstand will be the venue for a whole range of bands, celebrating the town's live music scene over the decades. Expect some very special guests.

Why not bring a chair, buy a drink from the bar, and settle back to enjoy some of Leek's finest?

Or you can take the giant water slide down to the bottom of the park, where John Collins Funfair will be in full swing.

The marquee will be hosting a range of community groups, so you can find out what's going on and maybe get involved.

The Queen's Stamp Portrait Performance

A special performance in Leek will tell the story of how the Queen's portrait on British postage stamps came to be.

The free Leek performance will be carried out by The Phoenix Singers and Claybody Theatre on two dates - on Saturday 4th June at Trinity Church and on Sunday 5th June at All Saints Church. Both performances will take place at 7pm.
