Sir Lee Pearson - a 14 time Paralympic Gold medallist - took a break from competing this week to take on a different challenge: helping Lorraine Kelly to overcome her fear of horse riding.
Dressage champion Sir Lee, who attended Westwood College in Leek, appeared on Lorraine this week for a feature, in which Lorraine attempted to give horse riding another go after ten years away from the saddle due to an accident which left her in hospital.
Showing Lorraine the ropes Sir Lee said: "That very unfortunate accident is enough to put anybody off because it was very traumatic, but I'm very proud that you're here."
Lorraine met one of Sir Lee's horses, Zion, which she would be attempting to ride.
She said: "I've got to get over my fear, sometimes you have to confront your fears and get over it."
After building up a bit of courage the pair were then able to have a gentle ride around the paddock.
Sir Lee said: "It was very emotional. She stayed on Zion a lot longer than I expected."
And Lorraine added: "It was a lot more emotional than I thought it would be. I couldn't have done it with anybody else apart from Sir Lee. He was brilliant and gave me so much confidence, and the horse was beautiful."
The pair then met once more, but this time with Lorraine in the studio and Sir Lee back in the stables with Zion, for a live video chat on air.
Sir Lee said: "It was an absolutely amazing day, and I hope your emotion and bravery came through on the TV."
And Lorraine said: "I couldn't have done it without you, and it was the perfect horse for me - very gentle and patient."
