Police probe Leek disorder incident and call for information

AN investigation has been launched by police following an incident of disorder in Leek.

It happened around 10.30pm on Friday, 14 July when police and an ambulance crew attended after an alarm was raised about a fracas at the Sheep Market, off St Edward Street.

Two men from leek, aged 39 and 31, were arrested

Staffordshire Police confirmed officers attended following 'reports of disorder'.

A spokesperson said: "A small group of men were reported to be fighting in the street. We went to the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service."

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent one ambulance to the incident and in a statement the servie said: "On arrival we discovered one male patient who was assessed and treated for minor injuries before being discharged at the scene."

Anyone with information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101.
