Leek Building Society recently provided workplace yoga sessions for its staff as part of a partnership with a local gym.
The partnership between the building society and Fit Bodies Gym aims to promote health and wellbeing in the local area.
The exclusive yoga sessions, which were conducted by Fit Bodies' knowledgeable team, provided a rejuvenating break from daily work routines and offered a host of health benefits, including stress reduction, increased flexibility, improved posture, and enhanced mental clarity.
Susan Matiaha, Finance Manager at Leek Building Society, attended a yoga session and commented on how the session benefitted her: "I really enjoyed starting the day with the yoga session, I left feeling warm, flexible, and ready to tackle the day ahead.
"The instructor was motivational and gave lots of encouragement to those of us who needed to use modifications.
"As part of the session he demonstrated many different poses and stretches, with some relaxation time at the end."
Leek Building Society and Fit Bodies Gym worked together to select a fitness session that would accommodate people of all fitness levels and prove enjoyable for the Society's staff.
Tim Lawrie, co-owner of Fit Bodies Gym, expressed his desire to broaden health and wellbeing with their local building society, stating, "We deeply care about the health and happiness of our gym members and those in the local area.
"Introducing some exclusive workplace yoga sessions through our partnership with Leek Building Society aligns with how we're moving forward together to encourage health and wellbeing and it's diverse offering.
"Yoga has been proven to be an effective way to reduce stress and enhance overall wellness, and we were delighted to offer this opportunity to Leek's dedicated team."
