Local police have appealed to the public for information after a shed fire took place at a Leek hall.

Officers say the fire took place just before 3pm on Saturday (21st May).

Now people have been asked to get in touch with the police if they know anything about the incident.

Leek PCSO Simon Long from Staffordshire Police said: "There has been a shed fire at Knivden Hall at around 14.45 on 21/05/2022.

"Anyone with any information relating to this incident, please contact 101 and quote serial 488 21/5/2022."

Leek Nub News reported previously how Kniveden Hall had previously been earmarked for a new dementia centre.

However, Staffordshire County Council announced that the site would be marketed to developers this year.

We also reported how councillors had suggested that the hall could be used as accommodation for Ukrainian refugees.
