A man was arrested before later being de-arrested after police officers and forensic specialists attended a Leek street yesterday.

A police car and a forensics van were spotted on Cruso Street in Leek on Wednesday, 4th May.

Officers arrested a man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, however, he was later de-arrested.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told Nub News: "Police received a concern for safety report just before 9am yesterday morning (Wednesday 4 May).

"Officers and forensic specialists attended an address on Cruso Street, Leek.

"A 34-year-old man, from Leek, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

"Following enquiries, he was later de-arrested.

"At this time, detectives do not believe there were any suspicious circumstances."
