Man arrested in Leek on suspicion of possession of class A drug

A man has been arrested in Leek on suspicion of possession a Class A drug.

Staffordshire Moorlands Police officers say the arrest took place at around 11pm last night (Thursday 27th January).

He was stopped on Ashbourne Road and remains in custody.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "At around 11pm last night (27 January) a 27-year-old man from the Staffordshire Moorlands, was arrested on suspicion of possession a Class A drug.

"He was stopped by officers on Ashbourne Road in Leek and remains in custody at this time."
