How many current Covid cases are there in each area of Leek right now?
An interactive map on the Government website gives updated daily local stats on the current situation regarding Covid cases and vaccines.
It displays exactly how many cases there are in each area of the town as well as case rates.
So what is the latest situation in Leek when it comes to Covid cases and jabs? We took a look at the stats to find out.
The latest available stats are for the seven days to 22 January 2022. See them below:
Leek Town: 70 cases - a case rate of 839 per 100,000 people Leek South and Cheddleton: 90 cases - a case rate of 817 per 100,000 people Leek East and Upper Hulme: 65 cases - a case rate of 852 per 100,000 peopleAs you can see from the stats, Leek South and Cheddleton is currently suffering from the most Covid cases - but Leek East and Upper Hulme has the highest case rate.
Leek East and Upper Hulme is doing the best when it comes to low Covid cases, but Leek South and Cheddleton has the lowest case rate.
However, all areas of Leek are doing far better than when we last checked the stats two weeks ago.
At the time, the three areas of Leek had a whopping 468 combined total cases, compared to just 225 this week.
The latest daily case rate for Staffordshire as a whole is 1,035 per 100,000 people. The case rate for England is slightly lower at 991 per 100,000 people.
That is also much lower than two weeks ago, when the case rate for Staffordshire as a whole was 1,615 per 100,000 people. The case rate for England was also much higher at 1,468 per 100,000 people.
