Fast food giant KFC has plans to open a new branch in Leek, according to documents recently published on its website.

The chicken restaurant published a list of hundreds of locations all around the country where it is hoping to open new branches, and Leek was one of those locations on the list.

A total of 543 locations were all mentioned for potential future KFC branches.

The list is available on the 'Target Locations' section on the KFC website. The page in question says: "Target Locations are all of the spots across the UK & Ireland that we're looking to open restaurants."

Details about a future potential Leek branch are currently scarce, but the list does state that if a branch opened in Leek, it would include a Drive-Thru.

Currently the nearest KFC branches to Leek are located in Stoke-on-Trent.

There are several branches of the chicken restaurant in Stoke, including in Hanley, Meir and Tunstall.
