How many current Covid cases are there in each area of Leek - and how many people have now received their booster vaccine?
An interactive map on the Government website gives updated daily local stats on the current situation regarding Covid cases and vaccines.
It displays exactly how many cases there are in each area of the town as well as case rates, and the number of people who have had their vaccines, including boosters.
So what is the latest situation in Leek when it comes to Covid cases and jabs? We took a look at the stats to find out.
The latest available stats are for the seven days to 8 January 2022. See them below:
Leek Town: 163 cases - a case rate of 1,955 per 100,000 people Leek South and Cheddleton: 172 cases - a case rate of 1,561 per 100,000 people Leek East and Upper Hulme: 133 cases - a case rate of 1,744 per 100,000 peopleAs you can see from the stats, Leek South and Cheddleton is currently suffering from the most Covid cases - but Leek Town has the highest case rate.
Leek East and Upper Hulme is doing the best when it comes to low Covid cases, but Leek South and Cheddleton has the lowest case rate.
The latest daily case rate for Staffordshire as a whole is 1,615 per 100,000 people. The case rate for England is slightly lower at 1,468 per 100,000 people.
But what about the situation when it comes to boosters and other vaccines?
The percentage of people aged 12+ who have received each vaccine up to and including 12th January can be found in full below:
Leek Town - First dose: 87% - Second dose: 81% - Booster: 66%Leek South and Cheddleton
- First dose: 93%
- Second dose: 88%
- Booster: 75%
Leek East and Upper Hulme - First dose: 88% - Second dose: 82% - Booster: 66%As you can see from the stats, the most vaccinated area of Leek is Leek South and Cheddleton, with 75% of residents having received a booster so far.
The least vaccinated area is Leek Town, where only 66% of residents have received a booster to date.
