An interactive map has shown the exact percentage of people that have had their booster Covid jabs in each area of Leek.

A map on the Government website allows users to view up to date percentages of everyone aged 12 and above who has received first, second and booster doses of the vaccine.

Leek Nub News reported recently on how many people had received the first two doses of the vaccine in the town.

The data is broken down into each area of Leek, allowing us to see which areas of the town are most vaccinated.

The percentage of people aged 12+ who have received a booster up to and including 27th December can be found in full below:

Leek Town - 61.7% Leek East and Upper Hulme - 61.5% Leek South and Cheddleton - 69.9%

As you can see from the stats, the most boosted area of Leek is Leek South and Cheddleton, with almost 70% of residents having received a booster so far.

The remaining two areas are performing very similarly, but Leek East and Upper Hulme is slightly below Leek Town, with 61.5% receiving a booster in the former compared to 61.7% in the latter.

The three areas of the town combined average out to just over 64% when it comes to receiving a booster, leaving around 36% of the town who still have not received one.

Leek's population is estimated to be around 21,000 - meaning there are still around 7,500 residents who have not received a booster.
