Boris Johnson will continue as Prime Minister after winning a confidence vote this evening.
We reported earlier how a vote of confidence in Boris Johnson was due to take place this evening, with the results being announced at 9pm.
The results are now in, with Tory MPs voting by 211 to 148 votes to keep Johnson as Prime Minister, meaning he remains in the role by a margin of 63 votes.
If Johnson lost, he would have been forced to stand down as Prime Minister and the Conservatives would have then chosen a new leader.
The vote came after months of scandal over 'Partygate', which saw the Prime Minister fined by police over rule-breaking lockdown gatherings at Downing Street.
Nub News contacted Moorlands MP Karen Bradley on Wednesday to ask whether she thought the Prime Minister should resign.
However, did not receive a response ahead of tonight's vote.
We also contacted Mrs Bradley today to ask how she would be voting. We have not yet received a response to this either, but we will let you know if we do.
Mrs Bradley has so far not commented on the future of the Prime Minister, except for in December when she said she was waiting to hear the full extent of what had happened but added that "I had been a Minister found to have broken the laws that I passed, I would be tendering my resignation now."
