Find out about them below...
Leek and District Show
Leek Show organisers are excited to finally hold the annual event again this weekend after it had to be cancelled for two years in a row.
The 2020 show had to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions, and organisers had to cancel the 2021 show, saying they were told by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council that Birchall Playing Fields, which are managed by the council, could not be available to host the show due to "current levels of COVID infections and changes to assembly restrictions".
However, the show is coming back better than ever this weekend with a new site and all kinds of activities and attractions for visitors to enjoy.
The new site at Dunwood Fields, Longsdon is ready and waiting for the 2022 Leek & District Show this Saturday 30th July with ample space for rural competitions of all categories, trade stands, craft stalls and entertainment.
Leek Cricket Club vs Moddershall & Oulton
Also on Saturday Leek Cricket Club are playing Moddershall & Oulton in the Premier Division.
The game starts at 12pm at Leek's home ground on Macclesfield Road.
Why not head down there and enjoy some local cricket?
Bad Soul Buskers at The Silk Mill
As usual there is loads of live music to enjoy in Leek this weekend, including at The Silk Mill where the band Bad Soul Buskers will be playing.
The local blues band will be playing from 8pm at the main bar and entry is free.
