Did you know that Leek Nub News has its very own local What's On page?

On our What's On page people can submit their upcoming local events, no matter how big or small, and spread the word for free on our site to our thousands of Leek readers.

Leek Christmas Lights Switch On The town will be bathed in Christmas light once again after the lights switched on on Friday, November 19th - earlier than the expected date two weeks later of Friday, December 3rd. However, the council says the switch on will be a smaller event this year with no parade due to high levels of Covid in the town. The Christmas lights switch on was cancelled altogether in 2020, so it's still great to hear that this year's event is going ahead, albeit not quite at the same scale as usual. Charity Christmas Ball at The Three Horseshoes

Also on Friday there's a charity Christmas ball at The Three Horseshoes pub at Blackshaw Moor.

There will be a three course meal and a disco starting at 7pm, supporting Douglas Macmillan Hospice, Blood Bikes and Lost Dogs Capture Team.
