One Leek Town FC fan travelling to watch their away game against Marine today got an unexpected surprise - a picture with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.
Leek resident Mark Brough snapped the picture with the former Premier League footballer and broadcaster this afternoon (Saturday 23rd April) when Leek Town took on Marine in the Northern Premier League West division.
On the pitch it was a good result for Leek, with the away side picking up all three points in a 3 - 1 win.
And Carragher was in attendance to witness Leek's victory, although it may not have been the result he had hoped for, with their opposition being based in Merseyside.
Carragher is considered a legend for Liverpool FC, having played for them over 500 times between 1996 and 2013 and winning a range of trophies including the Champions' League and two FA Cups.
He also represented England 38 times, but never played for any other club sides over his 17-year career.
He now works in the media and can be regularly seen debating with Gary Neville on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.
Mark meanwhile has a knack for capturing interesting local moments - we reported previously how he captured a hilarious video of a Cheddleton postman being chased down a road by an angry pheasant.
