Police are working to identify those responsible after shutting down a cannabis factory in Leek.

Officers found the plants yesterday (Thursday) after forcing entry to the property.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "Leek Neighborhood Action Team, supported by local officers have forced entry to a property in Leek and located a cannabis grow.

"Work is ongoing with Western Power to make it safe, and to identify offenders."

Leek Nub News reported two weeks ago how police also found a cannabis factory in Cheddleton, which contained over 350 plants.
