Leek police have today seized two vehicles for driving without being taxed.
Officers posted the update this evening (Tuesday, 18th May) to inform residents of the two vehicle seizures.
One of the vehicles was seized in Leek, while the other was seized in the Cheddleton area.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "Shift 1 Neighbourhood Policing Team have today seized vehicles in the Leek and Cheddleton area, for the offence of using an untaxed vehicle on a public highway."
It's an offence to drive a vehicle on a public road in the UK without road tax, but there are a few exceptions to the rule, such as taking your car to a pre-booked MOT test.
Any motorist caught driving without tax can be fined up to £1,000.
