Police seize disqualified driver's vehicle stopped in Leek

Police seized a vehicle belonging to a disqualified driver after they were stopped in Leek over the weekend.

The vehicle was stopped by police on Broad Street on Saturday, and police say the driver will soon be receiving a court date.

Staffordshire Police have asked anyone with information about illegal vehicle use in the local area to contact them.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "Moorland officers stopped and dealt with a disqualified driver in Leek on Saturday 13th March.

"The vehicle was seen on Broad St, Leek and stopped by Police.

"The driver was identified and the vehicle seized by officers.

"The offender will be receiving a court date in due course.

"Any information relating to the criminal use of vehicles on the roads is always welcomed by police and we will take action.

"We endeavour to reduce harm and risk on our roads.

"If you have any information relating to the criminal use of vehicles on the roads please contact police on 101 or report on line via the Staffs Police website."
