Police have released more information after a student paramedic's bike that he uses to get to work was stolen from Stoke ambulance hub.

We reported previously how the incident happened on Bank Holiday Monday as Liam Ticehurst, from Leek, was out responding to patients on an emergency ambulance.

Now police have released a renewed appeal regarding the incident.

Anyone who has any information has been asked to get in touch with them.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Police are appealing for information after a bike, worth £2,500, was stolen from a premises in Stoke-on-Trent.

"Officers were called to the West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust premises on Forge Lane, Etruria, just before 5pm on Monday (29 August).

"A witness reported seeing a man enter the premises and use bolt croppers to cut the bike's lock.  

"The offender was seen with two other men wearing masks and black clothing.

"They left the scene with the stolen bike and headed in the direction of Lanehead Road.

"The stolen bike is described as a blue Merida Reacto 5000 and having fulcrum wheels with 25mm tyres.

"The incident happened between 4.45pm and 5pm on Monday (29 August).

"Inquiries are ongoing.
