Police name 83-year-old man who died in Cheddleton collision

A man who died following a road traffic collision in Cheddleton has been named.

John Reginald Wynes, aged 83, sadly died in hospital a short time after a collision on the A520 Leek Road on Thursday 17 March.

Specialist officers are supporting his family at this difficult time and they have released the following tribute: "John was a much loved husband, dad, grandad, great grandad and will be sorely missed."

Detectives from Staffordshire Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at around 7pm on Thursday 17 March is asked to get in touch.
