Police were called to Leek after residents reported teens climbing on the roof of a derelict Mill in the town.

Officers were called to Mill Street on Saturday, however residents say the incident has occurred on several different days.

When police attended the mill they found nobody there.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told Nub News: "Officers were called to a derelict premises on Mill Street, Leek, at 6.25pm on Saturday (23 April), following reports of anti-social behaviour.

"A witness reported observing a group of youths congregating in the building.

"Police attended the scene and searched the vicinity, where no-one was located.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

One resident commented yesterday: "Just driven through Mill Street and saw a child aged about 13 on the roof of the old mill if anyone is missing one. Bit worrying as it's very dangerous."

Another added: "They've been there regularly since the weekend. On Saturday evening they were smashing all the windows.

"It's very dangerous, I reported it to the police on Saturday and they said they had multiple calls but couldn't find anyone when they attended."
