Police appeal after reports of suspicious male looking into cars in Leek

Police have appealed for information after receiving reports of a "suspicious male" who was "walking up and down driveways looking at vehicles" in Leek.

They were spotted in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday) at Nightingale Gardens.

Officers have now asked residents to ensure their valuables are not on display and to contact them if they have any information.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Police have received a report of a suspicious male in the area of Nightingale Gardens in Leek. It is reported that he has been walking up and down driveways looking at vehicles at around 01:00am on Thursday 9th June 2022.

"Please take the opportunity to review your security, check homes, outbuildings and sheds are locked and valuables are not on display. Please report any suspicious behaviour via telephone 101/999, Facebook or Twitter."
