Officers have released CCTV images of two dog walkers they would like to speak to in connection with a sheep attack in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

One dog is understood to have attacked the sheep at around 9.35am on Saturday 5 March on private farmland in the Upper Hulme area.

The dog was seen walking with two women and another dog in the area just prior to the attack.

A sheep was severely injured and a second is missing and presumed dead.

The dog involved is believed to be a large Lurcher or cross-bread and is white and tan in colour.

Officers have since secured CCTV footage which shows the attack, but it is too graphic and distressing to share in full.

However, they are appealing for anyone who recognises the women or dogs pictured to get in touch.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter or call 101, quoting incident number 367 of 9 March.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
