A family sized dormer bungalow is to be constructed on an unused side garden area in Cheddleton if a new planning application is approved.
Plans were submitted to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council by a Mr Chris Daniels, and seek permission for: "Erection of a detached dormer bungalow on the side garden area of Lansdowne".
The bungalow would be constructed on an unused area of Green Belt land next to an existing house on Station Road, and would include a lounge, kitchen and dining area, garage, and two to three bedrooms. There would also be a "substantial private garden and patio area".
A statement submitted to the council as part of the application discusses the bungalow plans in further detail.
It says: "The existing house was acquired by Kevin Cooper and Chris Daniels in October 2021. It is proposed to renovate and update the existing house and erect a new detached dormer bungalow in the garden area to the side.
"The proposed dwelling would provide quality family accommodation with two to three bedrooms and one bathroom, a good sized lounge, modern kitchen and dining facilities and a good sized integral garage.
"The garden area serving the existing house is large compared with the footprint of the dwelling. It is the perfect opportunity to provide a family good quality accommodation."
Staffordshire Moorlands District Council's planning officers will have the final say on the application at a later date.
