A planning application has been submitted to build 12 new bungalows on land at Bridge End, Macclesfield Road in Leek.
The plans were submitted this week by a Mr M Banjo of Urban Nu Ltd.
A statement prepared on behalf of the applicant by Rob Duncan Planning Consultancy explains that the development would be served by two communal areas of amenity space, which would include a nature pond along with a new area of woodland.
Eight of the bungalows would be detached, with the remaining four being semi-detached. The bungalows will also vary in size, with the smallest being 72.4 square metres, and the largest being 172 square metres.
The largest bungalow will include five bedrooms, with the remaining bungalows including either two, three or four bedrooms each.
The statement argues that the plans should be approved due to the proposed development being in a "sustainable location", with the plans being in keeping with the current appearance of the area and a satisfactory level of residential amenity being provided for the buildings' future occupants.
Staffordshire Moorlands District Council will have the final say on the application at a later date.
