Leek residents treated to sight of Red Arrows as iconic jets fly above town

Leek residents were able to enjoy the sight of the red arrows at the weekend as they flew over the town on Saturday.

The jets could be seen in Leek skies on Saturday afternoon as part of their fly past at Astley Hall in Chorley, where the G7 Speakers Conference was taking place.

It's not the first time the red arrows have flown over the town in recent memory though - Nub News reported back in March how the red arrows flew over the local area to take part in a training session in Wales.

They were due to make another pass on their return journey, however they were grounded following a Royal Navy Hawk crash in Cornwall, meaning their return journey was delayed by one day.

However, they were able to successfully complete their trip back the following afternoon.
