Leek's family fun day has been rescheduled for this weekend after the original date had to be called off due to thunderstorms.
The fun day will now take place this Saturday (18th September) from 10:30am onwards and will include a wide range of activities for all to enjoy.
This will include live music, a circus skills workshop and Leek's usual range of local shops and markets.
A spokesperson for Leek Town Council said: "Arrangements for the Family Fun Day have been reinstated for this Saturday from 10:30am onwards.
"The weather forecast looks promising and the shops and the market will be open for business. Please try and come along to support this event."
Leek Nub News reported back in August how the family fun day was originally postponed because of the weather.
A Leek Town Council spokesperson said at the time: "Due to the forecast of heavy rain and possible thunder throughout the day, the events sub committee of Leek Town Council has made the regrettable decision to postpone tomorrow's planned town centre Family Funday.
"Such weather has the potential to compromise both the safety of the performers, and the presenting of live music in an outdoors setting.
"We hope to host the event next month, on Saturday September 18th to coincide with the monthly Farmer's Market. The Saturday market is better protected and will be open as usual."
