A Leek boy has become the latest in a string of local lads who have gone to the amazing effort of growing their hair and donating it to the Little Princess Trust.

Aiden, aged 9, grew his hair before having it cut to donate it to the charity, which provides wigs for young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other illnesses.

He is also using his hair growing challenge to raise money for the Little Princess Trust. He had aimed to raise £150 and has smashed that target, raising more than double that amount with the fundraiser currently sitting at £330.

Aiden's mum Nicola explained how proud she was of her son's amazing efforts.

She said: "He's been mistaken as a girl and given grief for having long hair, but he was adamant he wasn't having it cut until it was long enough to donate - now he's ready for the chop!"

We reported recently how another Leek boy, Faris Edge, aged nine, has also been growing his hair since 2020 and is finally due to have it cut to donate it to the Little Princess Trust.

And in Biddulph, we reported how 11-year-old Zach has been growing his hair since 2019, and will soon have it cut and donated too.

Aiden's fundraiser is still live, and if you would like to donate, please visit the JustGiving page by clicking here.
