A local beauty spot just outside of Leek will be closed for temporarily next week.

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council have informed residents that Ladderedge Country Park will close for four days next week.

The local beauty spot will be closed from Monday, 28th June to Thursday, 1st July for four full days.

The authority says the reason says the closure will occur in order to take down redundant power lines.

A spokesperson for the council said today: "Ladderedge Country Park will be closed from 28th June to 1st July for four full days to enable Western Power to take down redundant power lines."
