Leek residents have been encouraged to raise money for cancer research and support charities by joining an upcoming fancy dress hockey match.

The match will be held on Sunday (9th January) at 2pm at Leek High School and has been organised by Leek Hockey Club in aid of Cancer Research UK and Maggie's Cancer Support.

Everyone has been welcomed to come along and get involved no matter their level of hockey playing skills.

The price to join is £20 for seniors and £10 for juniors, and all of the money raised will go to the charities.

Spectators are also welcome and hot drinks and cakes will be available by the pitch.
