Police arrested a drink driver in Cheddleton over the weekend after officers received information from a member of the public.

Police were told about a suspected drink driver in Cheddleton on Saturday evening (13th November).

After spotting the vehicle - which appears to be a red Renault - officers pulled the car over before arresting the driver and seizing the vehicle.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team commented on Saturday night: "We often receive information from the public.

"Tonight we have been told about a suspected drink driver in Cheddleton.

"The vehicle has been seen by officers and stopped.

"The driver was arrested for drink drive and other offences and remains in custody.

"The vehicle was also seized."
