A Cheddleton woman suffering from terminal cancer married her partner at Royal Stoke University Hospital's Emergency Department last week.

Amanda Littleton and David Reader, both from Cheddleton, married on Friday afternoon (September 24th), with a room in the department being transformed into a space fit for their wedding.

The space was decorated with bunting and balloons, and there was also a cake fit for the big day.

The room was arranged in under two hours, and the couple, who have been together for 18 years, married in front of close family and friends.

A spokesperson for the UHNM NHS Trust said: "Congratulations to Amanda Littleton and David Reader from Cheddleton who got married this afternoon at Royal Stoke's Emergency Department.

"Within two hours staff from across the department transformed a side room into a space fit for their big day."
