A Leek teenager has already raised an incredible amount of money ahead of a 100 mile charity walk for Cancer Research UK.
Kadi Boughey, aged 14, will be walking 100 miles with her dad Anthony on August 27th, on a route that will take them from Trentham Gardens all the way to Blackpool.
And three months ahead of the walk's start date, Kadi has already raised over £1,500 on her fundraising page.
Kadi has explained that she wanted to take on the 100 mile walk to try and "make a small difference" as she has family members who are suffering with cancer.
She said: "I'm raising as much as I can to beat cancer. We all have had someone we know who h as suffered or is suffering with this awful illness.
"Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There's no time to lose!
"Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
"Having various family members suffering I decided to try and make small difference in raising money to help the vital research to get rid of cancer.
"It's going to be hard but every bit of pain and energy I put in to this is more than worth it, so please please donate."
If the 100 mile challenge wasn't tough enough on its own, Kadi is also aiming to complete the walk in under 24 hours, meaning she will have to maintain an average speed of more than four miles an hour for the entire duration of the walk.
It will be a big step up from a similar fundraiser Kadi took on in 2019, when she walked 17 miles from Leek to Trentham Gardens.
Kadi's fundraiser is live now, and if you would like to donate ahead of her epic 100 mile walk in August then please click here.
