Our client is a very well-established and thriving organisation who have supplied chemical products to a variety of industries for many years.

They provide a safe, clean environment in which to work and the safety and development of their employees is paramount, resulting in many employees remaining there for the duration of their working careers.

They are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Craftsperson to work on a 3 month temporay contract, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:15pm.

Main Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning of mechanical plant and equipment to current standards.
  • Working within the operations maintenance function, responsible for the maintenance, repair, testing and inspection of mechanical equipment site wide.
  • Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment to ensure plant optimisation is achieved and OEE targets are met.
  • Fault finding identifying and repairing faults on all mechanical equipment. Responsible for the installation of mechanical equipment site wide for projects and modifications including pipefitting and fabricating.
  • To work safely and in compliance with all Health Safety and Environmental procedures and guidelines
  • Engage in and support the continuous improvement culture. Supporting relevant projects and modifications.
  • Liaise with the project team management team regarding resource, timescales, installation plans, equipment, spares etc.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent trade apprenticeship
  • Preferably Coded welder (stainless steel and carbon steel)
  • Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience in an industrial environment as a fitter/fabricator
  • To have been operating within an industrial mechanical environment within the last 2 to 3 years.
