A private health clinician is taking on an ultra-marathon that will see him pass through Leek this weekend to raise money for a men's health charity.
Mason Hancock will take on the 30-mile challenge by running from Ashbourne to Hanley on Saturday 5th November.
The 26-year-old works for Peak Chiropractic, which has three practices.
His route will pass by all three premises, and he'll be stopping off at each branch along the way.
Mason said: "I love the outdoors and giving myself a challenge, hence this 30-mile run!
"I've always loved sports and being active and over the past few years, I've really got into running.
"I decided back in January that I was discussing what I could do to challenge myself both physically and mentally, but also to raise money for a fantastic cause.
"We have three practices – one in Ashbourne, 18 miles away is the Leek practice and a further 12 miles to the Hanley practice.
"These provide a great route through the local area and also double up as great pit stops.
"I'll be starting my 50km run at around 7am and hopefully finishing in Hanley in the afternoon."
He added: "It'd mean so much to myself and the men who benefit from the support that Movember offers if you could donate whatever you can to my fundraiser."
Mason is hoping to complete his run before 3pm, depending on weather conditions.
He chose to raise money for Movember as the charity helps and supports men through some of the most difficult times of their lives.
Movember uses money it receives to help fund men's health projects – these include initiatives aimed at suicide prevention, mental health problems, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
On average, a man dies every minute worldwide though suicide, and three quarters of suicides in the UK are men.
The charity also supports men with cancer. It's estimated that one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
Mason said: "The money raised will go towards stopping men from dying far too young."
He will finish his run at Hanley Forest Park, and will be supported throughout his run by friends and family who've offered to run or cycle alongside him.

So far he has raised almost £500.
