Troublesome Leek property ordered to close by police

By Jack Lenton 18th Feb 2022

A Leek property that police say is known for antisocial behaviour has been ordered to close by officers.

Staffordshire Moorlands Police issued a closure order to a property on West Street earlier today (Thursday 17th February).

Police say that the courts will now work to secure an order which will prevent the tenant from returning to the property.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police's Moorlands team said: "Local officers have obtained a closure order for a property on West Street Leek, following repeat reports of Anti Social Behaviour.

"This will allow the housing court to secure a possession order and prevent the tenant from returning. A great result for the local community."
