Staff at a popular Indian restaurant in Leek "still feel like winners" thanks to the public's support, despite narrowly missing out on two prestigious curry awards.
Leek Nub News reported previously how Pabna on Ashbourne Road were nominated in this year's English Curry Awards for West Midlands Restaurant of the Year, as well as West Midlands Takeaway of the Year.
The awards are a celebration of top Asian curry professionals, and the nominations are chosen through a vote by members of the public.
The black-tie awards ceremony took place on 18th October at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport, NEC.
Pabna sadly didn't manage to take home the win, but even being nominated is a huge achievement, and they have also won in previous years.
A spokesperson for Pabna said: "We are sorry to say we didn't win at yesterday's Curry Awards, however we still feel like winners due to all of you voting for us, and making us feel like winners by being in the final. Thank you!"
