Police name man charged with car break-in, assault and theft in Leek yesterday

Police have named a man who has now been charged after being arrested on suspicion of a several offences in Leek yesterday (Thursday 12th May).

He is now due in court later this month after being released on bail.

Officers confirmed that he has been charged with three offences - theft from a motor vehicle, assault by beating and theft from a shop.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told Nub News: "A man has been charged after he was arrested on West Street in Leek yesterday (12 May).

"Joseph Robinson, aged 43, of Leek, has been charged with theft from a motor vehicle, assault by beating and theft from a shop.

"He has been released on conditional bail and is due to appear before magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 31 May."
