Police name 81-year-old man killed in Leek Road collision

A man who was killed in a collision in Cellarhead on Wednesday has been named.
Bernard Hopwood, aged 81, from the Cellarhead area, died in the crash at around 11.14am on the A520 Leek Road on 19 January.
The collision had involved Mr Hopwood's Ford Focus and a stationary tractor.
Mr Hopwood was sadly pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
No one else was hurt.
A file will shortly be prepared for HM Coroner.
In a statement, Mr Hopwood's family, who have released the attached photo of Bernard and his late wife Margaret, said: "Bernard will be missed by his brother Ken, his family and his friends."
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of the area at the time of the crash are asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 217 of 19 January.
