Police attend "man in distress" in Leek town centre

Police and paramedics attended a "man in distress" in Leek town centre today.

A police car was seen on St Edward Street, near the Leek United Building Society building this afternoon (Tuesday 1st March).

Police and paramedics attended just before 4pm this afternoon to assess the man.

As of this afternoon, officers said they have remained in the area.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police told Nub News: "Officers were called to reports of a man in distress on St Edward Street, Leek, at 3.45pm today (01 March).

"Police attended alongside paramedics and located a man at the scene.

"Officers remain in the area whilst paramedics assess the man."
