Police appeal following fatal collision in Moorlands

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a man died following a collision in Rushton Spencer.
Police were called by the North West Ambulance Service at 3.55pm on Sunday (1 May) who reported a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the A523 at Rushton Spencer.
The collision involved a grey Audi A3 and a pedestrian – a man in his 20s.
The pedestrian was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital with life-threatening head injuries. Sadly, he died yesterday (Monday 2 May).
His family are being supported by specially-trained officers.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their inquiries. The driver, a man, and the passenger, a woman, were not injured.
According to witnesses, a black Volkswagen Golf was also seen travelling at time of the collision on the A523.
