Police appeal following afternoon car fire at Leek ASDA

A car fire has caused damage at a supermarket in Leek.
Leek Asda, of Springfield Road, saw one car ablaze in the carpark.
The incident happened around 1pm on Monday.
Staffordshire Moorlands Police confirmed the news at 5:37pm on social media.
"We are appealing for witnesses & dash cam footage, following an incident in Leek on Monday," they said.
"At 1.05pm, police received reports of a silver Renault Clio which was well-alight on a supermarket car-park on Springfield Road in Leek.
"It is believed that two people, both wearing masks and dressed in dark clothing, deliberately ignited the car before leaving the scene in a white vehicle.
"Anyone with information, please contact PC French at [email protected]."
Staffordshire Fire & Rescue, who also responded to the incident, have been contacted for further comment.
