One area of Leek has topped the list of North Staffordshire's top 10 highest Covid rates, according to the latest data.
An interactive map updated regularly on the Government's website shows the latest Covid rates in each area of the UK, with recent data displaying the Moorlands as one of the worst affected areas in the country.
The map shows one area of Leek as being the worst in the local area when it comes to Covid rates.
Leek East and Upper Hulme has 1,312 cases per 100,000 population, with 100 cases over the last seven days - up 47.1 percent.
And another area of Leek has also made the top 10, with Leek South and Cheddleton having the fourth highest Covid rate in North Staffordshire.
Leek South and Cheddleton has 944.4 cases per 100,000 population, with 104 cases over seven days, an increase of 26.8 percent.
Each area in the top 10 is considerably higher than the average for Staffordshire as a whole, which stands at 587.2 cases per 100,000 population.
The news comes among national talk of the Government introduction of 'Plan B', which would include working from home, mandatory mask wearing and vaccine passports.
However, modelling recently done for the Government now suggests that cases and deaths could soon start to fall dramatically.
