Middlewich man charged following incident in Shavington

Police investigating an incident in Shavington have charged a man.

Nicholas Ian Carson, of Booth Lane, Middlewich, was arrested at around 11.47pm on Friday 25 July.

Carson, 43, has since been charged with intentional strangulation and two counts assaulting a person thereby causing actual bodily harm.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court later today (Monday, 28th July).

The charges relate to an incident that occurred in the Reedmace Way area of Shavington on Friday (25th July).
