Police were called in the early hours of Wednesday (30 June) to The Green Dragon pub in Leek following reports of disorder.

Officers attended and found a number of windows had been smashed at the front of the pub.

Police reviewed CCTV footage of the area at the time and made proactive inquiries.

The man, from the Leek area, was later arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and public order offences.

He was subsequently placed on police bail with conditions pending further inquiries.

Chief Inspector Mark Thorley, of Staffordshire Moorlands Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Officers are continuing to investigate reports of public order and criminal damage offences in Leek following England's match against Germany on Tuesday (29 June).

"We will take prompt and positive action where necessary to prevent further issues in the town centre in the coming days."
