A vaping and e-cigarette shop in Leek has announced that it will be closing its doors for good next month.

EcigSwag, which is based at the Sheep Market in Leek, announced today (Tuesday 26th July), that they will be closing their business in just under four week's time.

The shop will close for the final time on Sunday, 21st August, with its owners citing a tough period of recovery following the Covid lockdowns as one of the reasons for their decision.

They also explained that competition in the town was high, with many other shops in Leek also selling vapes.

Owners Darron and Janet explained: "It is with great sadness that we will be closing our business on 21st August.

"We thank our loyal customers who stuck with us during lockdown but we have not recovered enough to make our living from this any longer.

"Our market share has been diluted with the addition of yet another vape shop in town and every other shop now sells vapes.

"We had fun while it lasted but it's time for us to move on."
