Leek is due to experience one last heatwave before summer comes to an end, weather forecasts show.

We've been lucky enough to get a good amount of warm weather this summer, although in true British style it's also come with more than its fair share of rain and storms.

And that trend is set to continue into early September before the autumn weather kicks in, with temperatures set to heat up in Biddulph next week.

Temperatures will reportedly start to increase on Monday, reaching around 23 degrees Celsius, before going even higher on Tuesday at 25 degrees and maintaining the heat on Wednesday with 23 degrees.

However, autumn will hit with a bang later next week, with thunderstorms and rain predicted on Thursday and Friday.
