A Leek teenager has raised an incredible amount of money after completing a 100-mile charity walk for Cancer Research UK.
Kadi Boughey walked 100 miles with her dad Anthony on Friday (August 27th), on a route that took them from Trentham Gardens all the way to Blackpool.
Leek Nub News reported previously how Kadi said she wanted to take on the 100 mile walk to try and "make a small difference" as she has family members who are suffering with cancer.
And her fundraising efforts were met with an amazing response, with over £2,800 being raised on Kadi's Cancer Research UK fundraising page.
If the 100 mile challenge wasn't tough enough on its own, Kadi also aimed to complete the walk in under 24 hours meaning she had to maintain an average speed of more than four miles an hour for the entire duration of the walk, and she was able to achieve this, finishing in an amazing time of 23 hours and 56 minutes.
Kadi said before taking on the huge walk: "I'm raising as much as I can to beat cancer. We all have had someone we know who has suffered or is suffering with this awful illness.
"Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm raising money right now for Cancer Research UK. There's no time to lose!
"Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
"Having various family members suffering I decided to try and make small difference in raising money to help the vital research to get rid of cancer."
Kadi's fundraiser is still live on Cancer Research UK, and if you would like to donate click here.
