Leek's Antique and Collectables Market has been cancelled for tomorrow after a yellow weather warning was issued for the area.
Leek Nub News reported recently how a weather warning has been issued for the Moorlands and many other parts of the country with "very windy weather" expected on Saturday.
The Met Office weather warning has been issued for wind from midnight to 6pm on Saturday. Temperatures are also once again expected to drop into the minus numbers.
As a result tomorrow's outdoor market has been cancelled, but all is not lost as the indoor Buttermarket and Trestle market will still be going ahead as usual.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Moorlands District Council said: "Unfortunately, due to the Met Office yellow weather warning and expected wind gusts in excess of 40mph, tomorrow's (27/11) Antique and Collectables Market in Leek Market place has been cancelled.
"The indoor Buttermarket and Trestle market will be open as usual!"
