Leek men appear in court charged with conspiring to commit fraud by abuse of position

Four men, two of which are from Leek, have appeared in court charged with conspiring to commit fraud by abuse of position.

It follows an investigation by Staffordshire Police's Fraud and Financial Investigation Team.

Gary Buxton, 50, of Mulberry Way, Leek, Ian Morgan, 34, of Ecclestone Road, Wolverhampton, and Julian Conway, 59 of Glebefields, Woodseaves, Stafford, have all been charged with three counts of conspire to commit fraud by abuse of position.

Jimmy Lee Buxton, of Furmston Place, Leek, has been charged with one count of conspire to commit fraud by abuse of position.

They appeared before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 7 July.

They are now due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 9 August.
